I'm back at school. Mostly enjoying it but rather unproductive. Though tonight I am having a dinner party with crab cakes and lemon risotto and it's going to be amazing.

Love my new room with the Boyfriend. It is bigger and prettier and has a better shower and less removed from the rest of the house, which is nice.

School starts on Monday. Can't wait for Fiction Writing and Sculling. Don't much care for my other two classes, which is a bit sad, as they are the only ones required for my major. I was so excited about Political Science for about a year and a half. Now I'm just getting through it, wishing I was writing.

I gotta be honest, guys, I was really frustrated with the lack of response to my last entry. I was having a really hard time and didn't have anyone to talk to, and so I was grateful to turn to my online community of friends. Except then there wasn't one.

Anyway, things are good here. Texas and I were awkward for about thirty minutes but then seemed to get over ourselves. Roommate Boy lives with us again, which is fun, except he has a lady friend, who I love but takes up so much time. I am so selfish about him. :P And while I've always loved Gill, another new roommate to the house, I am not as sure about it now that we're in close quarters so often. But this is silly--I'm complaining when really everything is fun. I've been spending a lot of time with Hill and also with Hunter. It's odd, having friends who you haven't known very long but you feel like you've known forever. Such is the case with the Tent Wife, too, who I saw a few days ago. Maybe it was being together constantly in Africa but we just...fit. It's nice.

I actually have your other entry open in a tab, but I was actually having to think about a response/questions and stuff, and I got caught up in moving/starting school/etc. I'm sorry. :( There's probably no point now, but there will be a comment in the near future lol.

Are you an English and a PoliSci major? I'm sorry you're not looking forward to your polisci classes, but maybe they'll turn out to be interesting? I have a PS minor kind of by chance lol, but the last class I took for it ended up being one of my favorites.

I don't understand your living situation lol... it's a house-house or like a sorority/language/etc house?

I'll appreciate the comment even so. :)

I'm a PoliSci major. I went into school pre-med and switched to polisci sophomore year. Now that I know myself better, I really should have been a Creative Writing major--except that's not an option at my school anyway. I still somewhat enjoy my political science classes; it's just that I've had some big problems with the department itself, so it's just kind of a downer.

I live in a house-house! It is the same house I lived in last year, but with a new room and a few different roommates.

I missed your last entry. I just back read and I have no excuses. I simply missed it. I know that feeling of needing to talk online or in person. I'm sorry bb.

Glad things are going good.

No worries about missing it. I know you are not always around. It's more something that's been happening with other friends and I figured I had to say something about it sometime.

Frak me, I'm sorry. I completely missed that entry. That was crazytime at work, but that's still no excuse. I will catch up on it though.

I'm currently considering a PoliSci degree. I'm almost done with my Intelligence Ops degree, but that one is almost useless as a stand alone, I think, so I'm looking at some options to complement it. Not super excited about MORE school when I'm thisclose to being done now, but such is life I guess.

Also, your dinner party does sound pretty amazing. And tasty.

Everyone asks me what I'm going to do with my PoliSci degree, and I generally say, "Go to graduate school in creative writing." It was fun for a while, but I just don't have the passion for it anymore.

The dinner party was such fun! And the food so delicious! This (http://smittenkitchen.com/2007/06/catch-up-solstice-edition/) is the lemon risotto recipe from Smitten Kitchen. SO. GOOD.
